Bricks & Wood x New Balance A Different Bounce Collection

Through its collaborative efforts over the last few years, New Balance has enjoyed significant success in lifestyle. One partner that many initially slept on was Bricks & Wood, who launched their take on the New Balance 9060 to much praise after the pair sold out. Following up on the LA-based brand’s work on the 1906U, they’ve been tapped for a two-shoe collection to commemorate the upcoming NBA All-Star game.

Included in this collection, entitled A Different Bounce, is a Fresh Foam BB v3, the latest iteration of the Fresh Foam BB v3 that has yet to hit retail shelves in any format, and the New Balance 1000, the archival model revived last year by the Boston-based brand. Kicking off with performance basketball, the new model features a vibrant yellow hue covering most of the design, including the mesh base, leather overlays, and fused TPU panels. Contrasting this are hits of white and grey on the midfoot N logo, the black finish of the tongue and lace set, and the “B&W” logo on the medial heel.

For the 1000, Bricks & Wood flips the color palette, primarily coating the once-performance runner in black with yellow accents. The wavy leather panels on the top and bottom half of the upper take on a black finish, matching the mudguard and heel overlays. Unique to this pair is a fully reflective upper, which gives the sneaker a faded yellow finish that contrasts with the vibrant yellow on the base layer. Finishing details include the Bricks and Wood co-branded tongue label, the yellow N logo, and the cream and yellow midsole below.

Bricks & Woods’ latest New Balance project, A Different Bounce, will release during the NBA All-Star festivities on February 14, 2025, at a special pop-up in San Francisco. An EQL raffle will take place starting February 18 and run until February 20th at 11:59 PM PST, with winners announced on the 21st.
