Puma has begun to make strides in the performance basketball shoe market, securing a lineup that boasts some of the most dynamic talents across the NBA and WNBA. The introduction of Scoot Henderson's signature model, the Puma Scoot Zero, heralds a new era of innovation and star power, joining the ranks alongside LaMelo Ball and Breanna Stewart. The Puma Scoot Zero, which has already seen two iterations, Georgia Peach and Northern Light, is now embarking on its first-ever collaboration. In an unexpected yet thrilling partnership, Puma teams up with snack giant Cheetos to release a footwear and apparel capsule that's as bold as it is playful.
The collaboration infuses the Scoot Zero silhouette with the vibrant and playful spirit of Chester the Cheetah, Cheetos' iconic mascot. The upper is a kaleidoscope of orange, yellow, and red, emulating the irresistible allure of Cheetos. The sneaker is adorned with a cheetah print across the midfoot, nodding to Chester's wild side, while the rest of the upper is engulfed in fiery tones reminiscent of the snack's Flamin' Hot variety. On the midfoot sits a reinforced Puma formstrip for added support, while Scoot Henderson's logo is on the tongue. Moving over to the medial side, we can see a fiery aesthetic of Flamin' Hot Cheetos incorporated into a mini formstrip.
Beneath the visually striking upper is a foundation built for performance. The PROFOAM EVA midsole offers responsive cushioning in a gradient of red to orange, ensuring that each step is as comfortable as it is energetic. The sole's design is completed with a durable rubber outsole that provides exceptional traction, making the Scoot Zeros a statement piece and a serious contender on the basketball court.
The Cheetos x Puma Scoot Zero will release on February 16, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
