CLOT, under the creative vision of Edison Chen, has been a driving force in bridging Eastern and Western cultures through fashion and footwear. Marking a new chapter away from its long-standing collaboration with Nike, CLOT has turned its innovative eye toward adidas, landing a multi-year partnership. A Black White colorway has emerged after the successful release of a White Black rendition of the Superstar by Edison Chen and the ultra-limited Neighborhood triple collab.
This iteration presents a striking reversal of its predecessor. It features an all-black leather upper that serves as a canvas for the contrasting white details of the adidas Three Stripes and CLOT co-branding on the tongue. Added features from Chen's recent affinity for traditional European footwear are found via the tassels on the lace set, perforations on the midfoot and heel, and the leather welted portions of the sole unit. The silhouette is completed with a black and white midsole and a distinctive grooved rubber outsole, ensuring that this Superstar version stands out in aesthetics and craftsmanship.
The CLOT x adidas Superstar Black White will release on April 12, 2024, through Juice Store, adidas, and select retailers both online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the sneaker will retail for $200.
