With a long collaborative history between the two, CLOT has helped The Swoosh bring Eastern Hemisphere-inspired designs and motifs to the Western Hemisphere through iconic models like the Air Max 1, Nike SB Dunk Low, and more recently with the Dunk High “Flux.” While they have chosen to work with Jordan Brand in recent months, it seems 2023 will continue the duo's collaborative effort as we can expect three colorways of a CLOT x Nike Cortez SP to hit the shelves.
Taking on a brand new three-piece construction, the silhouette can be worn in a number of ways thanks to the removeable outer layer and internal heel counter. Contrasting shades take over the nylon outershell with a half-Swoosh logo located near the midfoot making the leather internal portion's Swoosh appear as if its in a two-tone design. Back on the heel is a nylon cord with a yin-yang logo present in the center, truly tying in the theme of the design to the philosophical concept. Split branding on the tongue features CLOT's logo on the right pair while the left sneaker comes with a Nike-branded tag. Rounding out the design is the two-tone midsole paired with a rubber outsole.
Launching in three colorways, “Black Varsity Maize,” “Yin Yang,” and in the iconic “Forrest Gump” color scheme, the CLOT x Nike Cortez SP Pack is set to release in Spring 2023 through Nike, CLOT, and select retailers online and in-store. The "Black Varsity Maize" and "Yin Yang" colorways saw a release in March and February 2023 respectively while the upcoming "Forrest Gump" colorway will be dropping in April. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
