Concepts Crafts Two Mephisto Melvin Colorways

Concepts may often be associated with its collaborative efforts with Nike and other sportswear/streetwear labels, however, the Boston-based retailer still finds time to squeeze in a bit of luxury. Teaming up for the third time with Parisian fashion house Mephisto, Concepts brings forth two colorways of the Mephisto Melvin in “Dark Blue” and “Stone.”
Taking on a low-top form, the silhouette appears almost dress shoe-like with its shape, however, the materials on the silhouette may draw some comparisons to a New Balance as it utilizes a mixture of suede and mesh. Each colorway features suede panels along the mudguard, eyestays, vamp, tongue, and heel while the base layer comes in grey mesh. The “Dark Blue” pair takes this shade and throws it on it the aforementioned suede panels while the “Stone” rendition adds hits of grey to the collar, heel tab, and tongue. Mephisto branding is located along the lateral eyestay while the medial side features a Concepts and Mephisto co-branded detail. Rounding out the design for both pairs is the white Runoff Air Jet-cushioned midsole paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The Concepts x Mephisto Match Collection, alongside the two previously mentioned sneakers, will include a range of apparel pieces and be released on February 3rd, 2023 through Concepts online and in-store. The sneakers will release in men’s sizing and retail for $399 while the apparel ranges in price from $20 to $200.
