Member of the apparel brand DISSIZIT, COOK brings paint splatter to two colorways of the adidas Campus 80. Sitting in the boardrooms or design labs, those that work at footwear brands sometimes are disconnected from the culture and those that partake in the sneaker game. That’s why when collaborators join forces with brands like adidas or Nike we often get out-of-the-box takes on staple silhouettes the labels have to offer. For The Three Stripes, it's commonplace for Japanese-based designers to link up with the German sportswear giant, as seen with the upcoming COOK x adidas Campus 80 Pack, coming in two colorways.
Taking his comic book-like character “COOK-chan,” COOK brings his graffiti-style design language to the Campus 80 with a predominantly "Black" colorway and also a "Dark Green" look. Suede dresses each colorway across the upper with accenting shades of white landing on the profile’s Three Stripes and via the tongue tag that features adidas branding alongside a caricature of COOK-chan himself. Throughout each sneaker, paint is splattered across the upper with the black pair getting white paint while the green pair features this as well as hits of yellow that matches the Three Stripe-branded heel tab. Underfoot, an aged Campus 80 midsole comes with paint splattered in each colorway's respective primary shade. Rounding out the look is the paint-free rubber outsole, getting a herringbone traction pattern in a cream shade.
The COOK x adidas Campus 80 Pack is set to release on October 28th, 2022 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $90 for each pair.
