Corteiz, the London-based streetwear brand founded in 2017 by Clint, has rapidly become a cultural phenomenon in the UK and beyond. Despite a legal skirmish with Nike in 2020, which resulted in a settlement, the two have transitioned from courtroom adversaries to creative collaborators. Following their successful partnership on the Nike Air Max 95, which saw the release of three distinct colorways, Corteiz is set to embark on another venture with Nike. This time, they're taking on the iconic Nike Air Trainer Huarache, as Brendan Dunne of Complex reported.
Early CAD renderings show the Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache in three colorways: one in Light Bone, another in Flat Pewter, and a Black pair. Each pair features signature Air Trainer Huarache detailing, such as a neoprene bootie and mid-foot strap. What is unique about Corteiz's take on the shoe is that it looks like he has opted to enlarge some of the exposed areas. Camo patterns take over the internal portions of the sneaker. Corteiz makes its presence known on the lockdown strap with the brand's logo placed here and via the "RTW" text on the heel tab. Finishing the design is a tonal foam midsole paired with a gum and tonal rubber outsole.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache Pack will have a stagnent release akin to Corteiz's Air Max 95s. First up is the Flat Pewter colorway, releasing November 8, 2024, through Corteiz's website at 7 PM London time (2 PM ET/11 AM PT). The Light Bone pair will see an early release on November 16. Clint is hosting a maze that if completed within the time limit will allow attendees to win a pair. Only 100 pairs will be made available for this early drop. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $210. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on this release and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
