German sportswear giant adidas collaborates with longtime partners atmos and Japanese e-sports team Crazy Raccoon to present a tri-branded Samba OG. After several successful collaborations with online gamers, including Ninja, Nadeshot, and the G2 e-sports team, the next focus is on Asia. Having nearly a million followers on social media app X alone, Crazy Raccoon has undoubtedly gained a loyal fanbase, becoming one of the biggest e-sports teams in Asia, if not the world.
This boom in e-sports has also had a significant impact on the fashion scene, with sportswear brands looking to capitalize and get their products in front of younger audiences. As the lines between traditional sports and e-sports blur, adidas has started releasing clothing lines specifically designed for gamers. These collections often feature lightweight, breathable materials and avatar-inspired design cues. E-sports athletes are now seen sporting branded gear, much like traditional athletes, helping to boost the visibility of these brands in new and youthful markets. The fusion of performance wear with gaming culture has given rise to a new wave of stylish, functional sportswear, catering to professional gamers and casual players alike while also appealing to the broader audience of e-sports fans.
The Crazy Raccoon x atmos x adidas Samba OG features a premium black leather upper and a T-toe guard plush suede overlay. Three Stripes branding appears on the sides, finished in white, with the Crazy Raccoon moniker running parallel in vibrant red. More flashes of the signature CR red are utilized for the Trefoil branding on the tongue tag and the Crazy Racoon team crest on the back heel tabs. The insoles feature custom co-branded graphics, with the laces having aglets that include the #CRWIN hashtag. Underfoot is a core black rubber sole.
