Curry Brand continues to build its growing roster of elite basketball talent, officially welcoming Toronto Raptors guard Davion Mitchell as its newest athlete. This news comes just months after De’Aaron Fox, another NBA star signed to Steph Curry’s Under Armour imprint, launched his first signature sneaker, the Curry Fox 1.

Now in his fourth NBA season, Mitchell joins Stephen Curry’s expanding brand under the Under Armour umbrella, where he will not only sport Curry Brand sneakers on the court but also receive exclusive player-edition (PE) colorways of various Curry models. Before joining the league, Mitchell had an impressive collegiate career at Baylor University, where he led the Bears to their first-ever national championship in 2021. His defensive prowess earned him accolades, such as the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year and the Lefty Driesell Award, cementing his reputation as one of the best perimeter defenders in college basketball.

Throughout the 2024-2025 NBA season, Mitchell has been wearing Curry Brand sneakers, most notably the recently launched Fox 1. His admiration for the brand’s Flow technology, which enhances court grip and quick directional changes, played a significant role in his decision to join Curry Brand. On top of this, Mitchell’s tenure with the Sacramento Kings aligned with De’Aaron Fox’s time with the franchise, helping foster a relationship between the eventual label mates.

"Stephen Curry is one of the greatest point guards of all time, and joining his brand is a major milestone in my career," Mitchell stated. "I give a lot of credit to my guy De’Aaron Fox for introducing me to the brand and showing me the advantages of these sneakers. The Flow technology has been a game changer for me on both ends of the floor, allowing me to stop and go with precision and stay locked in on defense. And off the court, it honestly feels like I’ve just gained a whole new family."

Curry Brand’s President, Stephen Curry, expressed his enthusiasm about adding Mitchell to the team:

"When we started out in 2020, I had a vision for what this brand could embody, and part of that vision was building an athlete roster with individuals who share the same values I do. Davion has a special fight and fire in him that I absolutely love, in addition to being an incredible basketball player and a strong member of his community. I’m proud to have him join the brand and officially welcome him to the team."

With the addition of Mitchell, Curry Brand continues to expand its influence across different levels of basketball. The brand recently signed two-way NBA player Quincy Olivari in December 2024, adding to its growing list of athletes. As for Mitchell, he will continue to wear exclusive Curry Brand colorways on court this season, including his own Fox 1 PE editions, which will be seen in upcoming Toronto Raptors games.
