This Custom sacai x Nike Air Force 1 Low Will Be Exclusive To Japan

sacai has been a critical partner for The Swoosh in recent memory, as the duo’s LD Waffle took the sneaker world by storm in 2019. Since then, various classic Nike models have been given the doubled-up motif courtesy of sacai, including the Blazer Low and Cortez. Ahead of the launch of sacai’s two new collaborations on the Footscape Mid and a new LDVaporwaffle Mix, the Japanese label has announced it will release a “customized” Nike AF1 exclusively at the Hello sacai storefront in Tokyo, Japan.
Unlike the colorful looks on sacai collabs of the past, the brand takes a simple “Triple White” Air Force 1 Low and applies some unique details to the upper. Standard leather appears throughout every panel sans the Swoosh, with a woven finish featuring an intricate pattern. Other details typically found on the AF1 remain, like the metallic lace dubrae, while the rest of the tongue region receives an overhaul. A lace cover with a zipper (somewhat reminding us of Travis Scott’s AF1 from 2019) changes how you tighten your kicks while partially hiding a co-branded Nike and sacai tongue tag. Rounding out the look is an untouched white-on-white AF1 midsole and outsole.
The customized sacai x Nike Air Force 1 Low will be released on April 7th, 2023, exclusively at the Hello sacai store in Tokyo, Japan. Also available at this pop-up will be a customized co-branded Nike hoodie. Retail pricing for the pair and the hoodie are TBA.
