Drake and his Nocta collection with Nike have finally seen a release for the Hot Step Air Terra, and it appears the duo is continuing to cook up retro-inspired kicks. Recently, Drizzy was spotted courtside at a Toronto Raptors game with his son Adonis by his side and a pair of unreleased sneakers that takes inspiration from the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95.
DNA from the 90s basketball silhouette appears to form the silhouette from top to bottom with suede appearing from the toebox up to the collar as well as the midfoot carbon fiber-like overlay in a two-tone white and black, though the shape appears more streamlined. The Nike Swoosh also borrows from the Zoom Flight 95, placed near the heel along the profile. Down below, the oval cutouts on the midsole reveal more carbon fiber, though the silhouette adds one more oval and reshapes them compared to the classic "Bug Eyes" on the Air Zoom Flight 95. Though we haven’t been given a full look, we can only imagine the cushioning system and outsole borrow elements from Jason Kidd's favorite sneaker from his rookie year.
Though no release is set in stone, we should expect this unnamed silhouette to get a proper rollout sometime in the next year or so, considering how long it took for the Nocta x Nike Hot Step Air Terra to finally see its release.
