With an affinity for golf, MJ and his Jordan Brand have, as of late, continued to release iconic models in golf-ready fashion like the AJ 4 and AJ 1 Low. Taking things to the next level, JB has found a solid partner in this world of golf with the brand Eastside Golf, a collaborator whose mission is to bring the game of golf to a new audience through expertly crafted and designed apparel pieces. Continuing their 2022 efforts that include a golf-ready AJ 12 Low and a standard AJ 12, Eastside Golf is bringing their touch to the Air Jordan 1 Low.
Although the silhouette comes without a golf-ready outsole, the sneaker brings with it details that nod to the game itself. Deep navy blue nubuck covers the entire upper from head to toe with tonal stitching details aiding the look. The waxed lace set does contrast this by coming in a deep black with orange embroidery stating the Eastside Golf connection located on the top of the tongue. More contrasting shades are visible on the blue sockliner, while the insoles come with graphics inspired by the green found on a golf course as well as dirt you’d find if your ball ended up in the bunker. Forgoing the standard Wings logo embroidery on the heel, “Eastside Golf” text on the left pair as well as the brand's logo on the right get stitched atop the nubuck heel overlay. Rounding out this collaborative effort is the sail midsole paired with a semi-translucent orange-shaded rubber outsole that features the world “CLAY” written below.
The Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 1 Low is set to release on November 12th, 2022 through Eastside Golf, Nike, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
