Known for its modern yet timeless aesthetic, Fear of God took a momentous step in 2020 when Lorenzo shifted gears from a celebrated Nike partnership to align with adidas. The highly anticipated Fear of God Athletics x adidas partnership has been more elusive than revealing. Fans have only had the chance (if they lived in China) to purchase a hoodie and crewneck from the collaboration and get official looks at the collection from an unprecedented fashion show at the Hollywood Bowl. Since then, we’ve seen various leaks, including two basketball sneakers, and now a running-inspired silhouette has appeared.
This Fear of God Athletics x adidas Los Angeles Runner brings serious runner vibes while showcasing a sophisticated grey color scheme that coats the suede and ripstop nylon upper. Strategically placed overlays add depth to the design, showing up on the mudguard, midfoot Three Stripes, eyestays, and heel. The lacing system features a toggle that allows for quick adjustments to fit. The heel spotlights Fear of God branding, cleverly embedded on a black TPU rectangle attached to the midsole. Though details about the cushioning system remain under wraps, it's housed in a white foam midsole, topped off with a wavy white rubber outsole.
The Fear Of God Athletics x adidas Los Angeles Runner Sesame is set to release on December 3, 2023, alongside the rest of the collection through Fear Of God and adidas Confirmed online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
