Even with his Fear Of God Athletics line still awaiting a proper launch with The Three Stripes, Jerry Lorenzo is still finding time to work on his mainline Fear Of God collections, his Essentials line with PacSun, and found time to collaborate with the king of slip-on footwear Birkenstock. Helping craft a brand-new silhouette dubbed the Los Feliz, Jerry brings the minimalistic FOG aesthetic to this model in a slew of colorways.
Taking inspiration from the unique hillside enclaves in Los Angeles, the silhouette merges iconic Birkenstock design details found on other silhouettes with Fear Of Gods design language as the model's suede/wool strap helps accentuate the deep heel cup and raw edge outsole. Like many of FOG's designs, these aforementioned straps come oversized which truly connects the silhouette to Lorenzo’s label, while still retaining the cork footbed that is found on just about every Birkenstock silhouette. For its first launch colorways, the duo has created “Taupe,” “Cement,” and “Ash” which keep things monochromatic throughout. Rounding out the design is the translucent rubber outsole.
The Fear Of God x Birkenstock Los Feliz will release in its three suede variant colorways on January 25th, 2023 through fearofgod.com while the wool-based colorways will see a release later down the line. Launching in both kid and adult sizing, the retail price will be $400.
