The Florida Gators Get Their Own Air Jordan 4 Retro PE
PublishedSchools and universities sponsored by Jordan Brand have received their exclusive colorways of the Air Jordan 4, modeled after the Air Jordan 4 First Class PE gifted to WNBA athletes in 2023. So far, we’ve seen pairs for the UCLA Bruins, Howard Bisons, and UNC Tarheels, with yet another NCAA program getting its version of the sneaker—the University of Florida.
Like the other pairs for this series of AJ4 college PEs, the Florida Gators’ blue hue is applied across the premium upper, with an accenting blue shade applied to the pebbled leather mudguard, tongue tag, and heel tab. Although there are no orange accenting marks, another shade associated with the Gators, metallic gold details, make an appearance throughout the upper. This includes the Gators-branded lace dubrae, Jumpman logos on the tongue, gold hang tag, and heel tab, as well as on the lace aglets.

For the Jumpman logo, Jordan Brand ups the lux feeling by including an actual diamond in the image of MJ dunking, applying the gem to the ball in Jordan's hand. Nods to the Gators are also found on the aforementioned gold hang tag and the inside of the tongue lining, with one pair featuring "2 Bits" and the other featuring "4 Bits." These quotes refer to a chant heard during the team's football games, "Two bits, four bits, six bits, a dollar, all for the Gators, stand up and holler!" The design is finished with a tonal blue Air Jordan 4 midsole and a contrasting rubber outsole.
Unfortunately, fans of the Gators and this Air Jordan 4 will not have access to the pair, as it will remain exclusive to student-athletes at the University of Florida.
