Back in 1997, Nike dropped what has become a fan-favorite silhouette with the Zoom Spiridon. Since then, the model has taken a backseat, but its influence is still felt with new models like Travis Scott’s Zoom Field Jaxx paying homage. On top of the sneaker's revival in its OG colorway later this year, images of a collaborative rendition from Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design have emerged. Earlier in the year, a supposed sample pair made the rounds online.
Two pairs of fragment's Spiridon have emerged, one in White and another in Black. For the White pair, we see a white mesh base layer that features black suede on the mudguard, running from the toe back to the heel. Near the navy Swoosh on the midfoot, we see a tooling code, a feature often present on fragment design collaborations, and "Nike / FRGMT Zoom Spiridon” text placed on the Swoosh. More branding for fragment is found on the tongue tag with FRGMT embroidered in a tonal white shade and on the co-branded insole. Underfoot sits the classic Zoom Spiridon foam midsole in white paired with a black rubber outsole containing fragment designs branding throughout.
The Black pair comes with the same construction and material as the White rendition but opts for a stealthy all-black color palette. The only hits of non-black comes via the white tooling text along the mudguard and the Swoosh and the medial Swoosh.
The fragment design x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon SP Pack will release Holiday 2024 through Nike, fragment design, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price for both pairs is set at $170.
