Futura Laboratories, the brainchild of the legendary graffiti artist Futura, is returning to the spotlight in the collaborative footwear scene in 2024. Known for his pioneering work in the graffiti and street art movement, Futura has left an indelible mark on art and fashion. After a period of relative quiet in terms of collaborative footwear, his label is re-engaging with the footwear industry, evidenced by a recent collaboration with Salehe Bembury on the Crocs Pollex Clog and an anticipated Nike SB Dunk Low partnership. Hot on the heels of these collaborations, Futura Laboratories is set to deepen its footprint in the casual footwear domain through an exciting collaboration with Crocs, unveiling two distinct colorways of the iconic Crocs Classic Clog.
This upcoming collection showcases Futura Laboratories' signature aesthetic, merging art with functional design. One of the clogs arrives in a White color scheme, adorned with metallic silver graffiti patterns that echo Futura's roots in the street art scene. This pair is further accentuated with custom Jibbitz charms featuring designs directly from Futura, adding a personalized touch to the footwear. The second pair takes a more vibrant approach with a Green palette enveloped in a tie-dye graffiti-like pattern that stands out with its bold and expressive design. Both iterations carry the Futura Laboratories branding on the footbed and the adjustable sports mode strap, marking each piece with the artist's iconic logo.
The Futura Laboratories x Crocs Classic Clog Collection will release on March 11, 2024, through Futura Laboratories and NTWRK, followed by a wider launch on March 14 via Crocs and global retailers. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $85. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this collaboration and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
