Asics’ commitment to blending technology and style is evident in models like the Gel-Kayano, a line that has resonated with both athletes and sneakerheads alike. For its latest rendition of the Gel-Kayano Legacy, Asics has tapped German fashion label GmbH which has crafted two iterations of the sneaker.
The first GmbH x Asics Gel-Kayano Legacys features a two-tone white and black, while the second bears a bold and dominant green finish. Both versions of this collaboration offer a fusion of mesh and glossy patent leather. While the mesh provides breathability, the patent leather panels on the midfoot, toe, and vamp amplify the sneaker's aesthetics. Asics' iconic stripes and logo are showcased on the midfoot, while the model's name takes a strategic position on the left shoe's lateral heel. GmbH leaves its signature mark on the right shoe's lateral heel and the left's insole, ensuring recognition of this collaborative effort. Below sits a foam midsole, which adopts tonal colors matching the upper. The rubber outsoles bring durability and grip, sporting contrasting black and green for the "Green" version and a sleek black for the "White Black" variant.
The GmbH x Asics Gel-Kayano Legacy Pack will release Fall 2023 through GmbH, Asics, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBD.
