One of the rising stars in sneaker collaborations, HAL Studios, has already given sneakerheads some remarkable designs, notably their recent partnership with Asics on the Gel-Lyte III series. Now, with their sights set on adidas, the brand takes on the Velosamba, the bike-friendly variant of the much-revered Samba silhouette.
The upcoming HAL Studios x adidas Velosamba exudes understated elegance. Draped in black leather and suede, this is offset beautifully by creamy hues adorning the tumbled leather eyestays, vamp, and the iconic Three Stripes. The design's meticulous attention to detail is evident with additional stitching on the Three Stripes, lending a touch of sophistication. A departure from traditional laces, a toggle lacing system is implemented, giving the sneaker a contemporary edge. Co-branding is subtly placed on the lateral heel and becomes a prominent feature on the lateral heel, showcasing both HAL Studios and adidas' stamp on the shoe. Rounding off the design is the reliable Samba midsole, complemented by the Velosamba's unique outsole, which features an opening to latch onto bike pedals for added traction and performance.
Limited to just 300 pairs, the HAL Studios x adidas Velosamba will release November 23, 2023 exclusively via Hal Studios online at 3:00 AM PST/6:00 AM EST. As of this writing, pricing information has yet to be announced.
