Mizuno taps the illustrious Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai to reimagine three models in the brand’s Wave sneaker line in a captivating fusion of art and athleticism. This collaboration highlights Mizuno’s dedication to innovation and design. At the same time, Nagai’s iconic pop art aesthetic brings a fresh perspective to the Wave Rider Beta, Wave Mujin TL, and Wave Prophecy LS models.

The Hiroshi Nagai x Mizuno Wave Pack embodies a diverse approach to sneaker design, with each model encapsulating a distinct visual narrative. The Wave Rider Beta showcases a serene blue gradient mesh upper, contrasted with greyscale suede overlays, embodying the tranquility of a cloudy sky. Its companion, the Wave Mujin TL, opts for a more rugged aesthetic, featuring an all-black upper with strategic red branding and a playful camo pattern on the sockliner and outsole.

The Wave Prophecy LS, with its creamy and tan hues accented by vibrant splashes of color, represents a harmonious blend of earthy tones and artistic flair. Each sneaker in the pack is adorned with Nagai’s signature penguin logo, subtly positioned on the heel tab, serving as a nod to the artist’s distinctive style and the collaborative spirit of the collection.

The Hiroshi Nagai x Mizuno Wave Pack will release on March 23, 2024, exclusively through Mizuno in Japan. Available in unisex sizing, the Wave Rider Beta retails for 22,000 yen (approx $145 ), while the Wave Prophecy LS and Wave Mujin TL retail for 29,700 yen (approx $195) and 24,200 yen (approx $160).
