HUF and Nike are rekindling their collaborative fire for Summer 2024, celebrating a significant milestone—the 20th Anniversary of their first joint venture on the Air Max 1. The partnership began with their iconic work on the SB Dunk High and Air Max 1 in 2004. The duo recently collaborated on a pack of SB Dunk Lows that paid homage to the late Keith Hufnagel and his NYC and San Francisco roots. This comeback was rumored last year and initially reported by Bubblekope.
This special edition pack of Air Max 1s introduces three vibrant new colorways. Each pair in the pack pays homage to iconic moments and designs from their past work: a Pear colorway nods to the original Green Apple colorway, while the Brilliant Orange and Pink Pow pairs mirror unreleased samples. The design continuity is evident with premium materials such as cracked leather on the mudguards and smooth leather on the toe boxes and collars.
Rich nubuck material dresses the midfoot panels and heel overlays, enhancing the texture and depth of the sneakers. Complementing these are the tumbled leather Swooshes and various accent colors that pop on the lace linings, sockliners, tongue tags, and Nike Air branding on the heels. Underfoot sits a grey foam midsole housing an Air unit in the heel paired with a tonal outsole.
The HUF x Nike Air Max 1 SP Pack will release on June 15, 2024, through HUF online and in-store. Nike SNKRS and select retailers will drop on June 22, 2024. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160 for each pair.
