Despite the news that the German Football Association will be aligning with Nike in 2027, adidas' commitment to soccer remains unwavering, highlighted by its ongoing relationship with Major League Soccer (MLS). This enduring partnership, set to last another decade, not only sees adidas as the official kit supplier but also involves collaborations on footwear and apparel. While we’ve seen one-off collaborations with Austin FC and the New England Revolution, Lionel Messi’s new home, Inter Miami CF, continues its work with The Three Stripes as a new Miami-themed Samba has emerged. This release follows on the heels of a series of collaborations paying homage to the club, including a Handball Spezial and a Messi Samba inspired by Inter Miami's distinctive pink and black home kit.
Embracing the colors of Inter Miami CF's away kit, the upcoming Samba Indoor Cleat features a classic blend of suede and leather. The sneaker is enveloped in rich black tones, with suede adorning the T-shaped overlay on the toe and leather enveloping the remainder of the upper. Pink accents enliven the Three Stripes on the midfoot and heel tab, adding a vibrant contrast, while touches of gold through the Samba text infuse the sneaker with an air of sophistication. The traditional adidas branding has been replaced with Inter Miami's logo, which is atop the tongue. The design is completed by a semi-translucent gum sole unit, marrying classic aesthetics with contemporary flair.
The Inter Miami CF x adidas Samba Indoor Cleat will release in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $100.
