Ja Morant and Nike Unveil the Nike Ja 3

Finally, Ja Morant has revealed his next signature model with Nike, the Nike Ja 3. Designed to reflect Ja’s aggressive playing style and unfiltered personality, the Ja 3 delivers performance and attitude in a silhouette built for today’s fearless hoopers. As Ja puts it, “I needed something that talks before I even lace it up.”

With the Ja 3, Nike has pushed past the traditional formula to create a rugged and refined model. Incorporating Ja’s name directly into the design, the textured material of the upper features an expanded monogram of Ja’s signature logo. The scratch patterns seen on previous Ja models return purposefully, acting as functional ventilation across the breathable mesh upper. Where the shoe isn’t cut away, Kurim overlays offer added support, creating the perfect balance of structure and airflow.

Underfoot, the Ja 3 introduces an all-new bulldog micro-traction pattern on the outsole, engineered to bite the court during Ja’s signature crossover. The rubber cupsole wraps into a translucent frame, revealing a composite midsole built from full-length ZoomX foam layered atop recycled ZoomX scrap. The result is maximum responsiveness for quick shifts in momentum.

“When you put on the Ja 3, I want you to feel fearless,” Morant said. “Like you can go create your own story — on the court, off it. Just be you, loud and proud.” That mindset will be fully displayed as Ja debuts the Ja 3 Max Volume during the Grizzlies’ first playoff game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Nike Ja 3 will debut in Fall 2025 in various colorways. The Max Volume pair will release on August 15, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is $130 for men, $100 for GS, and $85 for PS.
