As the last sneaker MJ wore on the court as a Chicago Bull, the Air Jordan 14 holds a special place in many Jordan fans' hearts. With inspiration coming from MJ’s Ferrari 550 M, it's only right that those who get the opportunity to create their own colorway on the silhouette keep things in the realm of classic vehicles, and that’s exactly what Jayson Tatum has done. Taking design inspiration from his own custom 1966 Ford Mustang is the Air Jordan 14 Retro Low Jayson Tatum “Old School” PE.
Unlike his upcoming Air Jordan 37 colorway, the majority of this AJ 14 gets covered in black with patent leather and nubuck taking over the upper with the medial side featuring a quilted leather construction. Around the toe is the aforementioned patent leather which gets accented by red Jumpman embroidery just below the vamp. This same red shade makes its way to the top of the patent leather tongue and its “Jordan” text while the reverse hosts the name “Deuce,” an homage to Tatum's son. Forgoing the Ferrari-inspired emblem on the midfoot and heel, the Tatum instead adds vintage Mustang-like emblems with the signature Jumpman branding still remaining. Rounding out the design is the AJ 14 midsole and outsole which gets a mixture of black, silver, and red throughout.
The Air Jordan 14 Retro Low Jayson Tatum Old School PE is likely to remain exclusive to Tatum, though if they were to see a retail release it would likely be through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
