Heading into 2023 we’re expecting big changes when it comes to the performance basketball market - especially from Nike and Jordan Brand. With Nike Basketball and Ja Morant finally debuting the Nike Ja 1, we’re still waiting for Jayson Tatum to reveal what his signature silhouette with Jordan Brand will be, however, the man is still receiving some of the sickest PE sneakers in the NBA in spite of this. As a follow-up to his Air Jordan 14 PE inspired by his vintage Mustang, this same theme has made it to the yet-to-be-released Air Jordan 37 Low.
With the silhouette taking inspiration from the Air Jordan 7, DNA from this OG sneaker are present like the panels beneath the black Leno-Weave on the midfoot and the outsole’s traction pattern, however, modern-day materials and tech lay within. Across the upper, stealthy black shades take over with the overlay around the eyestays, midfoot, and heel getting a quilted finish, not unlike the interior of Tatum’s Mustang. Special branding details, like the Mustang-inspired logo spelling Jayson Tatum on the tongue and the red, white, and blue stripes on the pull tab add an extra flair to the low-top performance basketball model while patent leather and red accents on the collar and lace set round out the design of the upper. Finishing the entire design is the black AJ 37 midsole with a semi-translucent red featured on the heel.
The Jayson Tatum x Air Jordan 37 Low Mustang PE will remain exclusive to Tatum and those close to the Celtics star. Detailed images of the pair can be seen down below, so take a peep at one of the best PEs to grace the NBA court this season.
