While we may have seen a slew of brands release their own iterations of foam-based slip-on silhouettes throughout 2022, Jordan Brand waited until the new year to bring forth its newest designs. Included in this - are the Jordan Hex Mule and Jordan Hex Slide. While not as appealing on the eyes as the Nike Calm Slide, detailed images of the Jordan Hex Mule have begun to appear and now we’ve got our best look yet at the Jordan Hex Mule “Celestial Gold.”
Taking its inspiration from geometrical shapes, specifically hexagons, the silhouette takes on a super minimalist approach in terms of its branding and design. From a top-down view, you can see protrusions from the sidewall and a squared-off toe and heel. For its one-piece construction, Jordan Brand employs a foam composite derived from sugarcane dubbed “Bio Foam,” making the slip-on silhouette both sustainable and comfortable. Throughout the entire foam build, we see a single tonal shade of celestial gold with the design of the mule being completed by a herringbone traction pattern on the foam outsole.
The Jordan Hex Mule Celestial Gold W is set to release in Summer 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $65.
