When Jordan Brand introduced Luka Doncic's latest signature sneaker, the Jordan Luka 3, a big theme around the campaign was high-performance sports cars. This automotive theme inspired the sneaker's first two colorways and the model's design and now inspires the latest colorway, Speedway.
The Jordan Luka 3 Speedway features a primarily black-based color scheme, with the engineered textile upper showcasing wavy striations that evoke the visual effects of speeding vehicles. The black textile slightly contrasts with the deeper black on the tongue and collar, creating a dynamic visual appeal. White hues accentuate the TPU portions near the toe and the Isoplate on the midfoot, with the black TPU panels featuring a white-speckled finish. Pops of red highlight the Luka logos on the insole, while the tongue tags split between Luka's logo on the right shoe and the Jumpman logo on the left. Underfoot, the sneaker boasts a grey midsole with Cushlon 3.0 foam from heel to toe, providing superior cushioning. The rubber outsole features a generative herringbone pattern inspired by the traction of racing tires, ensuring optimal grip and performance on the court.
The Jordan Luka 3 Speedway will release on August 9, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130, with grade school sizing available at $100.
