Spike Lee’s Jordan Spizike silhouette was a hit when it debuted in 2006, combining elements from iconic Air Jordan models like the Jordan 3, Jordan 4, Jordan 5, Jordan 6, Jordan 9, and Jordan 20. While hybrid models from Jordan Brand are often viewed with disdain today, the Spizike still holds a place in the community, and the new Spizike Low has proven this true. This model is now set to receive a stealthy update this holiday season with the release of the Jordan Spizike Low Black Cat. This new iteration embraces the beloved all-black theme that has resonated well with sneakerheads, especially following the popularity of the Black Cat Air Jordan 4.
Crafted with a comprehensive approach to detail, the Jordan Spizike Low Black Cat features a rich amalgamation of components from various Jordan models. The sneaker is decked out entirely in black, from the elephant print that pays homage to the Jordan 3 to the distinct netting from the Jordan 5. The silhouette also incorporates the wing eyelets of the Jordan 4 and the tongue design of the Jordan 6, all finely rendered in matching black tones for a cohesive look. Special nods to Spike Lee include his Mars Blackmon persona and the 40 Acres and a Mule logo on the heels. A pure black midsole and outsole round out the design, reinforcing the Black Cat identity with a sleek and versatile finish.
The Jordan Spizike Low Black Cat will release on June 11, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the sneaker will retail for $160 (men), $125 (GS), $80 (PS), and $60 (TD).
