Jordan Brand has a rich history of supporting basketball tournaments worldwide, and the Dongdan tournament in China is a prime example of their commitment to the sport. Much like the Quai54 streetball tournament in Paris, the Dongdan event in Shanghai celebrates streetball culture, and Jordan Brand marks the occasion with exclusive sneaker makeovers. This year, the brand unveiled a new iteration of the Jordan Spizike Low for the Dongdan tournament.
The Jordan Spizike Low Dongdan features a luxurious mix of premium leather and suede on the upper, predominantly in white hues. Vibrant accents of pink, blue, green, and purple add a lively touch throughout the design. Echoing the gradient patterns seen on the J Balvin Jordan 3, the heel of the sole showcases a striking gradient that transitions from green to blue on the lateral side and from purple to pink on the medial side. Pink shades are further highlighted in the lace lock and pull tab, creating a cohesive and colorful look.
Distinctive branding elements include an emerald green Jumpman on the left sneaker's lace cover and the Dongdan logo in the same shade on the right. The heel features Spike Lee's 40 Acres and a Mule logo alongside a portrait of Spike himself, both set against a lenticular gradient pattern. The design is completed with a white and gradient midsole paired with a white, pink, and football grey rubber outsole.
The Jordan Spizike Low Dongdan will release in 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be determined.
