As the Boston Celtics maintain their formidable presence atop the Eastern Conference standings, Jayson Tatum's on-court prowess is matched by his growing sneaker legacy with Jordan Brand. Following the successful launch of his inaugural signature shoe, the Jordan Tatum 1, in Spring 2023, the anticipation for the Jordan Tatum 2 is palpable. Fans and sneakerheads alike have been waiting for the first glimpse of the sneaker, which has now arrived. Though the model will debut in Spring 2024 with the Momma's Boy colorway, we have first looks at the Vortex rendition.
The Jordan Tatum 2 Vortex is an evolution of its predecessor, maintaining a familiar silhouette while introducing new material elements. The sneaker's construction features a TPU, leather, and knit blend, offering both durability and comfort. The midfoot paneling is particularly striking, showcasing a large black TPU panel with red mesh and a touch of yellow rubber, reminiscent of the open design on the Tatum 1's midfoot. Branding elements include the JT logo prominently displayed on the tongue and additional Tatum and Jordan branding likely on the heel.
The underfoot cushioning system of the Jordan Tatum 2 features full-length Zoom Strobel, giving the sneaker a smooth heel-to-toe transition and provides impact from explosive movements.
The Jordan Tatum 2 Vortex is set to release April 4, 2024 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. The sneaker will be available in men's sizing with a retail price of $125 and also in grade school, preschool, and toddler sizes at $90, $75, and $55, respectively.
