Russell Westbrook Pays Homage to Khelcy Barrs on the Jordan Why Not 0.6
Published
Though we won’t see Russell Westbrook rocking his latest signature sneaker, the Jordan Why Not 0.6, as his Los Angeles Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs, Jordan Brand is continuing to craft new renditions of the model. Looking to a previous colorway from the Jordan Why Not 0.2, Westbrook pays homage to his late friend Khelcy Barrs III on the Why Not 0.6.
Across the silhouette, we see grey panels along the toe, tongue, medial midfoot, and heel, contrasting with the gradient ripstop nylon on the lateral midfoot. Standard Why Not 0.6 details remain, including the zipper shroud covering the lacing system and branding details for Jordan Brand and Westbrook, while an homage to Barrs III is on the heel. This exact “KB3” text was found on the previous Why Not sneaker that paid tribute to the young star who was best friends with Westbrook and tragically passed away at16 years old from a heart attack. Underfoot sits a grey foam midsole paired with a grey and orange rubber outsole.
The Jordan Why Not 0.6 Khelcy Barrs will release this yearthrough Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
