The NBA season is fast approaching. For fans of the sport, this is their team's year to shine and bring home a chip, but for sneakerheads, that means the debut of new signature silhouettes on the feet of players. One name that unfortunately hasn’t touched the hardwood floor in some time is Zion Williamson, though this season he will be making his triumphant return in his latest sneaker from Jordan Brand, the Jordan Zion 2. Having popped up in White Metallic Gold and a Greater China colorway, the upcoming "Hyper Crimson" pair provides a solid burst of color into his sneaker lineup.
Unlike the previously mentioned pairs, the entire upper of the silhouette gets hit with a vibrant orange shade dubbed “Hyper Crimson,” taking over the mesh and leather overlays throughout. Around the midfoot, the lockdown strap features perforated leather with “Zoom Air “ branding visible in an accenting shade of Copa, also present on the “ZW” embroidered atop the tongue. More branding details shine thanks to this Copa shade, seen on the Jumpman atop the heel and along the insole. Underfoot, a Zoom Air cushioned midsole takes on a similar hyper crimson shade while the rubber outsole with its grippy traction pattern and “ZW” branding on the forefoot gets covered in the accenting Copa hue.
The Jordan Zion 2 Hyper Crimson is set to release in October 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. It has been delayed and will now drop during Holiday 2022. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130. For more updates on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
