This year, Jordan Brand introduced the Zion 3 M.U.D. (Made Uniquely Different), a fresh take that offers unique materials and design elements. Following the initial Light Bone and Orchid colorways, the latest addition to the M.U.D. lineup is the striking Black Dark Ash, which adds a refined aesthetic to the collection.
The Jordan Zion 3 M.U.D. SE Black Dark Ash is a sophisticated blend of style and functionality, featuring a premium black nubuck base that provides a sleek and durable finish. The most noticeable design change from previous Zion 3 models is the 3D mud splash pattern, now intricately embroidered in a dark ash color rather than the usual TPU layer.
Another standout feature is the addition of a forefoot strap, which enhances the lockdown fit, ensuring stability during intense gameplay. The sneaker's interior has also been upgraded as the traditional Formula 23 drop-in midsole has been replaced with a Zoom Air drop-in midsole. This change provides superior cushioning and responsiveness, ideal for players like Zion, who rely on explosive movements. The underfoot setup is completed with a sail rubber midsole, providing a subtle contrast to the upper, and a clear rubber outsole with a specially designed traction pattern for optimal grip on the court.
The Jordan Zion 3 M.U.D. SE Black Dark Ash will release on August 7, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
