As we look towards February 2024, which will host an array of All-Star Weekend-themed releases, a special edition of Zion's third signature model, the Zion 3, is set to hit shelves. Following up on the No Guts and the eye-catching Triple Pink colorway, a 3D film-inspired colorway has emerged.
The Jordan Zion 3 NRG 3D is a masterclass in innovative design, featuring a grey base layer accentuated with the model’s signature mud splash print. This design is a nod to Zion making it “out the mud,” with the print derived from a 3D scan of him stepping into a mud puddle. What sets this colorway apart is its white, black, and red finish, reminiscent of the classic 3D effects seen in old-school movies. The theme extends to the lace set, where black laces are edged with red and blue, adding to the sneaker's distinctive look.
Performance-wise, the Jordan Zion 3 doesn't disappoint. The sneaker has a drop-in Formula 23 midsole, offering responsive cushioning tailored to Zion's on-court requirements. A Zoom Air unit is also embedded in the forefoot, providing explosive energy return with every step. This high-performance setup is encased in a semi-translucent clear midsole, enhancing functionality and contributing to the sneaker's striking aesthetic. Completing the Jordan Zion 3 NRG 3D design is the clear outsole, which features red and blue highlights on the midfoot and toe area, echoing the sneaker's 3D theme.
The Jordan Zion 3 NRG 3D will release on February 20, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store.
