The Latest Kiko Kostadinov x Asics UB10-S Gel-Kayano 20 Pack Releases May 2025

Kiko Kostadinov’s prosperous relationship with Asics has led to the Bulgarian-born designer becoming the SportStyle category’s creative director, playing a role similar to that of Teddy Santis and New Balance’s Made in USA lineup. Like Santis, Kostadinov can directly collaborate with his employers through an outside label, the eponymous Kiko Kostadinov Design Studio. The latest project between the duo revisits the Gel-Kayano 20 under the UB10-S moniker.

Spanning a series of staple silhouettes in Asics’ archives, the UB series has graced an array of sneakers over the last year, including the Gel-DS Trainer 14, Gel-Kayano 20 (both through the UB10-S and UB9-S), and the GT-2160. For these three new Gel-Kayano 20s, Kiko has continued taking inspiration from Interlaced Assemblages, Functional Utopias, and Mino Ceramics, applying different textures and colors to create a contrasting silhouette. As for colors, we see a Plum Beet Juice rendition adding red, orange, and burgundy shades to the model’s mesh, leather, and synthetic upper.

Another rendition coats the sneaker in Indigo Gunmetal, again playing with the multiple materials and layering of the overlays. Finally, a third pair comes in Moss Gunmetal, making the green hues the primary attraction while contrasting with metallic silver gunmetal panels. All pairs come with a tonal Gel-Kayano 20 midsole and outsole.

The Kiko Kostadinov x Asics UB10-S Gel-Kayano 20 Pack will release on May 2, 2025, through Asics and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $200.
