Streetwear powerhouse Kith Classics, led by Ronnie Fieg, reunites with adidas Originals for a brand-new footwear collection. The two brands are teaming up for the season to breathe fresh life into three iconic tennis silhouettes—each an homage to a different era of professional tennis. This latest link-up comes after multiple Kith x adidas collaborations in 2023, including the three-way collab with Clarks on crepe-sole Sambas.
This thoughtfully crafted collection includes the Rod Laver, IL Comp, and Torsion Edberg models—each reimagined with royal blue accents that provide a rich and refined touch. The designs also proudly feature special Kith for adidas Originals co-branding, emphasizing the partnership’s harmony. The Rod Laver silhouette, a tribute to the legendary Australian tennis player, boasts a knitted mesh upper complimented by pigskin nubuck overlays and radiates effortless sophistication. In contrast, the Torsion Edberg, named for Swedish tennis star Stefan Edberg, embraces a more elaborate aesthetic, showcasing an upper crafted from full-grain leather with pigskin nubuck overlays infused with various accent details. Rounding out the collection, the IL Comp, a style introduced in 1985 known for its versatile functionality on and off the court, is artfully crafted with a knitted mesh upper and overlaid with full-grain leather.
The Kith Classics x adidas Originals Tennis Collection will release August 21, 2023, exclusively via Kith online and in-store. The retail price for Kith Classics x adidas Originals Tennis collection is as follows: $105 for Rod Laver, $115 for the IL Comp, and $120 for the Torsion Edberg Comp.
