With Ronnie Fieg as the creative director for the New York Knicks, you know Kith had to get involved with Team USA Basketball. In celebration of the upcoming Olympic Games, Kith has partnered with USA Basketball to craft a unique array of apparel and accessories that highlight the spirit and prestige of the sport. Three-time Olympic champion, NBA champion, MVP, and All-Star Kevin Durant fronts this collection.
The Kith for USA Basketball collection includes a diverse range of items that blend Kith’s signature style with the patriotic flair of Team USA. The lineup features jackets, crewnecks, hoodies, vintage-washed tees, sweatpants, and shorts, each adorned with collaborative Kith for USA Basketball artwork and logos. The Kith for USA Basketball Leather Jacket is included in the collection and is crafted from premium Italian Nappa leather. This color-blocked masterpiece showcases a retro-inspired patchwork design in patriotic hues, symbolizing the strength and unity of USA Basketball. Other items include graphic tees that recall the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the Dream Team. Complementing the apparel are fitted and adjustable caps made in partnership with New Era, rounding out the collection.
To mark the launch, Kith has transformed the historic Hotel George V in Paris courtyard into a custom basketball court. This luxury hotel near the iconic Avenue des Champs-Élysées now features a court adorned with USA Basketball, Kith, and Hotel George V branding in vibrant red, white, and blue hues. Alongside this, a concept space has been set up where guests can view the collection in detail. While this space at the Four Seasons Hotel George V is for display only, the entire collection will be available for purchase in-store at Kith Paris, just a short walk from the hotel.
The Kith for Team USA Basketball Collection will release on July 22, 2024, through Kith online and in-store. Retail prices range, with the leather jacket retailing for $995, t-shirts for $70, hats for $65, and hoodies/jackets in the $200-ish range.
