Ronnie Fieg's Kith has become synonymous with standout collaborations in the sneaker world, and its partnership with New Balance is no exception. Following the celebrated releases of the 993 and 998 earlier this year, Kith and New Balance are shifting their focus to the 1700 silhouette. This isn't the duo's first dance with the 1700 model; a memorable release in 2020 left fans clamoring for more. This time, they're drawing inspiration from Canada, presenting the 1700 in colors symbolic of the Canadian flag to honor the opening of Kith's Toronto location.
The New Balance 1700 Canada Pack is designed with precision and offers two striking colorways: White Red and Red White. Both shoes adorn an opulent suede exterior complemented by subtle leather touches near the collar. The Red White variant is an ode to the Canadian flag, with its dominant red palette contrasted by the iconic "N" logo, laces, and sole in white. Conversely, the alternative colorway boasts white side overlays and a white toebox, punctuated by rich red underlays on the midfoot, tongue, vamp, and collar. Both designs are elevated with co-branded details on the heel tab and the distinctive "1700" embossed on the lateral heel. Inside sits co-branded Kith and New Balance insoles. While the White Red version sits atop a gum rubber outsole, the Red White pair features a contrasting black rubber outsole.
The Kith x New Balance 1700 Canada Pack will see a staggered release. First, on September 22, 2023, the Red White pair will be available exclusively via Kith Toronto. On Monday, September 25, both pairs will hit Kith websites and the White Red pair will be available in-store at all Kith locations. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is yet to be announced.
