As we enter 2024, New Balance continues to spotlight its 1906R model, engaging a series of collaborations that have transformed this 2010s mesh runner into a canvas for creative expression. Ronnie Fieg's Kith will join esteemed collaborators like Salehe Bembury, Randomevent, and Action Bronson in reimagining the New Balance 1906R. Alongside this Cream colorway, a Black Burgundy pair is also in the works.
The Kith x New Balance 1906R showcases a refined design approach, featuring a honeycomb mesh pattern on the base layer in clean white. This base is complemented by tumbled leather overlays in a striking metallic silver finish, adding a touch of luxury to the sneaker's aesthetic. The design continues with a light blue TPU heel counter and a tan and cream "N" logo on the midfoot, incorporating subtle color contrasts that enhance the sneaker's overall appeal. Kith's signature touch is evident in the co-branding on the tongue, presented in a blue hue that matches the TPU heel counter, reinforcing the collaboration's identity. The sneaker is grounded with a white and tan foam midsole, ensuring comfort and performance, and is finished with a durable grey rubber outsole.
The Kith x New Balance 1906R Cream will release March 8, 2024, through Kith's women's store in NYC, while an online and in-store release at all Kith locations will take place on March 11. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170. Stay tuned to the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on this release and more from the sneaker and streetwear world.
