Kith is a label that rides the line between streetwear and luxury fashion as its seasonal collections exude luxe vibes while we will often see Kith Monday Program releases that feature partnerships more oriented in the realm of streetwear. One partnership that Kith continues on a yearly basis, its projects with New Balance, give us even more luxurious takes on the Boston-based brand’s models, and this year is starting off strong between the two. Coinciding with the release of Kith’s Spring 101 Collection, Ronnie Fieg and NB crafted a New Balance 993 that fits into the capsule's color palette.
Coming with its Made In USA construction, Kith’s take on the New Balance 993 differs from their last “Pistachio” offering as the model takes on mixtures of cream, navy blue, grey, and white, while maintaining the high-quality build of the silhouette. Pigskin suede dresses the overlays with grey shades landing on the mudguard and heel while creamy hues take over the midfoot panel and eyestays, along the toebox we see wavy mesh panels shine through in a muted steel blue shade alongside the iconic 99X series toebox overlays in a dark grey shade. “N” branding on the midfoot takes on a navy blue finish with white leather trimming the logo. For the tongue, we see white mesh utilized in the center with brownish suede featured on the vamp and Made In USA-branded tongue tag. Rounding out the look is the ABZORB-cushioned midsole in a two-tone cream and white finish paired with a black rubber outsole.
