Kyrie Irving Is Reportedly Considering Signing a Sneaker Deal With adidas or Puma

Published

Kyrie Irving is currently a sneaker free agent, as the success of his signature Nike line wasn't enough to justify his myriad controversies culminating in flirtation with antisemitism. The Swoosh officially cut ties with Irving in December, but Irving is reportedly shopping around for a new deal. According to Brandon Robinson of Bally Sports, Puma and adidas have “gauged interest” in Irving signing a new contract. Irving himself also said in on Instagram Live that he'd announced his next landing spot soon.

adidas signing Irving wouldn't make much since, as the brand is still dealing with the fallout from Ye and his more explicit antisemitism. Puma, however, has been making inroads back into basketball in recent years in part thanks to LaMelo Ball, and an established star such as Irving could be another boon.

No official announcements have yet been made by Irving, Puma, adidas, or any other party that could be involved. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
