Last year, Lil Yachty showed the world his very first Nike collaboration on the Air Force 1, which was expected to remain exclusive to friends and family of Yachty and his Concrete Boys collective. Over a year had passed, and Yachty officially launched this design with slightly different design features compared to his F&F version to mixed reactions online. Maybe Yachty remembered these criticisms when working on a pair he debuted at Rolling Loud and on Instagram.
Unlike his Us Force 1, which featured what arguably is just a GR color scheme with slight branding differences, Yachty coats the humble AF1 in a faux croc skin in a deep green hue. This exotic material covers most of the upper, sans the black patent leather heel tab. Other accenting hits of black are integrated into the croc skin pattern onto the woven tongue label, sockliner, laces, and his Concrete Boys logo, which gets embroidered in 3D on the lateral heel. Underfoot, the silhouette is complete with a black-on-black sole unit.
The Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 Low Concrete Boys Green Croc has no confirmed release date and may very well be another friends-and-family iteration of Yachty’s AF1 that joins previous pairs previewed by the artist.
