This year marked a first for Lil Yachty as the hip-hop superstar launched his first (public) collaboration with Nike on the Air Force 1 Low silhouette. While Boat previewed a friends-and-family version of this sneaker and found himself embroiled in controversy over the criticism surrounding the simplicity of his debut collaboration, there were multiple other versions of his Concrete Boys-themed AF1s showcased when the artist was at Coachella this year. Luckily for those who thought his initial project was too simple, Sole Retriever can confirm that Yachty will drop another US Force 1 project in Summer 2025 in a Lucky Green University Gold colorway.
Likely the pair pictured here, which, as mentioned earlier, was one of a few different pairs previewed at Coachella, the sneaker comes with a patent leather upper in vibrant shades seemingly borrowed from the Ethiopian flag. Lucky Green hits the mudguard, eyestays, tongue, heel overlay, and heel tab, while the outline of the red Swoosh on the midfoot also takes on this bright green shade. Like Yachty’s first AF1 release, his Concrete Boys logo gets embroidered in 3D along the lateral heel, while branding details along the tongue tag, heel, and insole remain identical to the OG pair.
On the base of the silhouette, we see university gold patent leather on the toe and midfoot, while accenting hues of red appear on the sockliner and spine of the heel. Down below, the AF1 midsole features red accent stitching amongst its university gold finish, while the outsole takes on a red finish.
The Lil Yachty x Nike US Force 1 Lucky Green University Gold will release in Summer 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
