The Louis-Gabriel Nouchi x Puma Mostro Mule Releases January 2025
PublishedFrench designer Louis-Gabriel Nouchi previewed a new Puma collaboration during his Spring/Summer 2025 runway show last June, and many wondered when the project would hit shelves. Now, Puma and LGN have revealed release details for the designer’s mule version of the Puma Mostro.
Regarding the collaboration, Nouchi stated, “I synthesized the essence of the iconic Mostro shoes into a radical mule design using a single material, transforming it into both a design object and a comfortable sneaker.” He did just that, as the model, originally released in 1999 as a mashup of archival Puma designs, retains its signature features while being updated into a modern slip-on mule. A single-material rubberized construction takes on two neutral colorways, one in White and the other in Black.

The Mostro’s distinctive spiked sole unit, derived from a spiked running silhouette from the ‘60s, remains on the outsole and wraps up on the sidewall of the sneaker. However, the nylon strap setup has been removed for a backless slip-on. Puma Formstrip branding is integrated into the molding of the silhouette, while the insole contains co-branding details for both Louis-Gabriel Nouchi and Puma.
The Louis-Gabriel Nouchi x Puma Mostro Mule Pack will release via Louis-Gabriel Nouchi’s website on January 23, 2025, while a wider release through select retailers will take place two days later on January 25. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $158.
