Jordan Brand is well known for its connection to various collegiate athletic programs, with almost every one of these schools receiving PE editions of retro Air Jordan silhouettes throughout the year. As we’ve seen across the nation this year, schools like UCLA, Howard, and UNC have been blessed with themed and co-branded colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG, and now Marquette University’s pair has been revealed.
As with the other schools mentioned above, the same material choices are utilized as the overlays feature cracked leather, while the base layer comes with premium smooth leather. Marquette’s team colors of blue and gold are present with the cracked leather panels and quilted sockliner featuring the former of the two shades. Along the pebbled leather Swoosh, we see one of our only hits of gold with the other bursts of this regal shade present atop the Nike Air-branded tongue tag and on the mini Swoosh on the toe. Sail hues on the laces, tongue, toebox, quarter panel, and collar, along with Marquette’s logo on the insole and the sail/gum sole unit, completes the design.
