The mita sneakers x adidas Radlander Pack Releases January 2025
Japanese influences continue to take over the adidas Radlander, as streetwear specialists mita sneakers present a two-shoe collection of the model in premium fashion. Since being reissued last year, the Radlander has seen a collaboration with atmos that sold out immediately, along with an inline adidas Gore-Tex iteration that has also been uber-popular, especially in Asia. The shoe holds iconic status in Japan, with the cult classic a favorite throughout the 90s due to its distinctive appearance.
adidas had to rip apart and break down an original pair of the adidas Badlander from the 90s to bring the model back with correct specifications. The slight modern name change to Radlander happened due to legal reasons. While the Archive at adidas HQ Herzogenaurach holds two pristine pairs, they are kept for archival purposes and are not to be destroyed, so another pair had to be sourced.
By a stroke of luck, a member of the adidas team found a pair for sale on an online selling site, which was in decent enough condition and purchased them. That pair was taken apart piece by piece and detailed meticulously to allow for the modern reissue. Tokyo-based boutique mita sneakers takes full advantage of being part of the adidas Consortium partnership.
This initiative connects retailers from around the globe and is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year by cladding two pairs in premium materials. One pair arrives in a neutral palette with the base enveloped in a Blanch Cargo hue, with ivory tones accenting the shoe. A two-tone Feet You Wear (FYW) outsole is broken up by the putty grey Torsion support system visible at the midfoot.
Night Indigo leather enwraps the other pair, with premium brown nubuck at the front. Bright Blue is utilized for the hidden tongue and lace set, with the vivid color flashing in accents. The flecked FYW outsoles combine differing shades of grey, with both pairs featuring adidas Equipment branding, completed with retro Consortium-branded insoles.
The mita sneakers x adidas Radlander Pack is set to release on January 24, 2025, through mita sneakers, atmos, and adidas Japan, online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, retail is $175.
