As esports continues to carve out a major presence in the digital and physical realms, collaborations between gaming legends and athletic brands are becoming more commonplace. In the latest chapter of such collaborations, adidas has teamed up with Nadeshot, the founder of the esports giant 100 Thieves, to release a special edition of the adidas Rivalry. This partnership comes on the heels of an announcement earlier in the year that adidas would be the official apparel provider for 100 Thieves. It is ironic as one of the company’s owners is Drake, who notably has his sublabel with Nike, NOCTA.
The Nadeshot x adidas Rivalry sneaker is a perfect marriage between the aesthetic of 100 Thieves and the classic sporty style of the adidas Rivalry. The design features a palette that aligns closely with the 100 Thieves' new jersey designed by adidas. Neutral tones dominate, with textured suede overlays providing a premium look and feel. These are complemented by sharp black leather accents that form the iconic Three Stripes on the midfoot, extending to the heel tab and sockliner. Notably, the heel tab boasts Nadeshot’s branding in an eye-catching gold, while a metallic gold eyestay spells out 100 Thieves, enhancing the exclusive vibe of the shoe. A cream-colored rubber midsole and a classic gum rubber outsole round out the design, ensuring that the shoe is as functional on the street as stylish in the gaming lounge.
Alongside the footwear, the collaboration also includes a comprehensive apparel capsule that features co-branded items such as jerseys (available in men’s and women’s sizing), a half-zip pullover, a t-shirt, pants, a towel, and socks.
The Nadeshot x adidas Rivalry and the entire 100 Thieves x adidas Collection will release on May 31, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced. For updates on this release, including raffles and availability, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
