Zion Williamson has taken inspiration from his personal life across various PE and signature sneaker colorways with Jordan Brand and Naruto has been a major theme. So far, we’ve seen the hit anime/manga take over the Jordan Zion 1 and through an upcoming Air Jordan 37 that brings the Rasengan to life. Now, his second signature silhouette with Jordan Brand, the Jordan Zion 2, has just appeared in a split colorway nodding to Naruto and Sasuke.
Keeping the same nubuck, mesh, and TPU construction found on many other Zion 2s, Naruto and Sasuke come to life through branding details and a split-color design that features yellow on the lateral side and purple shades on the medial. Aside from the colors (yellow for Naruto and purple for Sasuke), nods to the series can be found back on the heel with the Uchiha Clan and Uzumaki Clan symbols split between the left and right shoe respectively. Internally we also see hidden details, like Sasuke's Rinnegan on the right insole and Naruto’s phrase “Believe It!” behind the tongue. Aside from this, we see the forefoot strap utilize silver branding in a similar build to headbands worn by characters in the series while the design comes complete through a Zoom Air cushioned midsole and rubber outsole.
The Naruto x Jordan Zion 2 is set to release on February 20th, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
