The NBA 2K x Jamal Murray x New Balance Two WXY v5 Releases October 2024

New Balance’s expansion in the performance basketball space has seen the Boston-based brand produce multiple inline silhouettes. One of the brand’s more recent offerings is the Two WXY v5, which first launched in September in five different options. Now, as the NBA season is about to tip off, the brand has teamed up with New Balance roster member Jamal Murray and basketball video game franchise NBA 2K for a collaborative colorway.

Across the base, we see a knit base in pearl grey featuring fused TPU reinforcements in a metallic silver finish near the toe and along the heel. This same metallic silver finish is applied to the midfoot’s N logo, though the warped design makes it appear more like a diamond. Lining the logo is a pop of magenta that continues onto the two-tone lace set and the TPU linear pattern on the medial. Branding details on the tongue typically feature NB logos. However, this pair splits branding for Jamal Murray and NBA 2K in a purple shade that matches the logos on the heel counter. Finishing the design is the silver foam midsole with FuelCell and Fresh Foam X cushioning paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole containing pops of purple near the toe.

The NBA 2K x Jamal Murray x New Balance Two WXY v5 will release on October 28, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store.
