Mesh runners have exploded in popularity recently. The New Balance 2002R has emerged as a standout amongst runners, with numerous color options and well-received collaborations. The momentum will continue through 2024 with the release of the New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex Chocolate.
The New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex Chocolate is a fusion of functionality and aesthetic appeal. The upper is a blend of synthetic suede, mesh, and nubuck, all constructed with Gore-Tex, ensuring the shoe's resilience in various weather conditions. The shoe's base features tan-hued mesh, while the overlays are crafted from chocolate-shaded suede, giving the sneaker a rich, earthy look. This dark hue extends to the midfoot's "N" logo, bordered with black leather for a sharp contrast. Additional black elements are found in the lace set and sockliner, complementing the overall color scheme. The heel features Gore-Tex branding near the “2002R” text, highlighting the shoe's functional aspects. Underneath, a creamy midsole pairs seamlessly with the sneaker's black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex Chocolate will release in 2024 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $170. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on this release and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
